    L’Immagine Ritrovata is delighted to participate to the 70th edition of the Berlinale, taking place from February 20th to March 1st 2020, presenting five new restorations:
     

    IL BIDONE (Federico Fellini, Italy/France, 1955)

    February 21 at 22.00 - International Cinema
    February 25 at 17.45 - Haus der Berliner Festspiele
    Restoration carried out for Cineteca di Bologna and The Film Foundation, funded by George Lucas Family Foundation.

    XIAO WU (Jia Zhang-Ke, People's Republic of China, 1998)
    February 24 at 13.30 - Akademie der Künste
    Restoration carried out Cineteca di Bologna and The Film Foundation at L'Immagine Ritrovata in collaboration with Jia Zhang-Ke. Project funded by George Lucas Family Foundation.
     

    DAS WACHSFIGURENKABINETT (Paul Leni, Germany, 1924)
    February 21 at 17.30 - Friedrichstadt-Palast
    Restoration carried out for Deutsche Kinemathek and Cineteca di Bologna, funded by the German Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media (BKM).

    LES MOTS ONT UN SENS (Chris Marker, France, 1970, short film)
    February 21 at 13.00 - Kino Arsenal 1

    Restoration carried out for Arsenal at L'Immagine Ritrovata of Bologna and Paris. 

    MES VOISINS (Med Hondo, France, 1971)

    February 25 at 20.00 - Akademie der Künste
    Restoration carried out for Arsenal at L'Immagine Ritrovata of Bologna and Paris, in collaboration with cinematographer Francois Catonné.

    The 2020 Berlinale marks the 70th edition of the Berlin International Film Festival and will be also the fist festival headed by director duo Mariette Rissenbeek and Carlo Chatrian.
