During an institutional mission to Italy aimed at strengthening cooperation on the safeguarding of audiovisual heritage and the development of the film sector, a delegation from the Republic of Madagascar was welcomed at L'Immagine Ritrovata (Bologna) for an official visit to the laboratory. The delegation was led by the Minister of Communication and Culture, Gascar Fenosoa, and by the renowned artist and producer Laza.

The delegation also included Mialy Andrianaivo, Duprine Maroriky Zafimanjakasoa, Bezaka Harivelo Gihane, and Giuliana Fantoni, coordinator of projects and cultural exchanges between Italy and Madagascar. The guests were first welcomed by Gian Luca Farinelli and the staff of the Fondazione Cineteca di Bologna.
Discussions with the laboratory and the Cineteca focused on film preservation, digitization and restoration, equipment, and training for Malagasy professionals.

It was a true honor for us to showcase our work to such distinguished guests, and we hope that this meeting marks the beginning of a long and fruitful collaboration.
